Visually impaired students receiving training on skills development in use of Smartphone

Smartphone handover to a visually impaired student

YPSA has launched a training program for the visually impaired students aimed at skill development in use of Smartphone with screen reading apps.  The training workshop holding  at the YPSA’s ICT & Resource Center on Disability in collaboration with  Access to Information (A2i) Programme, Prime Minister Office, WIPO, Australian Aid, Accessible Books Consortium and DAISY Consortium

Through this initiative 100 students with visual disability will be skilled in use of Smartphone by which they will be able to read the accessible books. All students have already received the device from the organizer.

The launching program was facilitated by Mr. Vashkar Bhttacharjee, National Consultant, Access to Information Programe (a2i) Prime Minister Office.

Md. Mahabubur Rahman, Director (SDP), YPSA; Murshed Chowdhury, Director (ED) and member of ‘Disabled Students Society of Chittagong University’ were present in the launching program.
