Prime Minister of Bangladesh Mr. Tarique Rahman was presented with the ‘Multimedia Talking Book’ and ‘Accessible Dictionary’—two innovative initiatives by Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) designed to ensure technology-driven and inclusive education for visually impaired students.
These innovations by YPSA, supported by the Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Programme of the Government of Bangladesh, were presented at an event titled “Youth, Startup, and Bangladesh of Potential,” held on July 14, 2026, at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University.
The Prime Minister was briefed about the two innovations by Bhaskar Bhattacharjee, Accessibility Consultant at a2i, and Fauzia Chowdhury Diba, Program Manager at YPSA.
The exhibition highlighted various aspects of utilizing technology in the education of visually impaired students, creating accessible educational materials, and making curricula more user-friendly. Upon learning about the effectiveness and potential of these initiatives, the Prime Minister highly praised them.
At the same time, he commended this initiative to make the education system for visually impaired students more information technology-driven, dynamic, and accessible, and received research publications related to the innovations.
These initiatives by YPSA are being considered an important step for Bangladesh in developing technology-driven inclusive education. Those concerned believe that these innovations will open new doors of opportunity for visually impaired students to achieve quality education.
