A senior official team from World Bank, PKSF and partner organizations visited YPSA’s “OBA SANITATION MICROFINANCE PROGRAM” activities at different villages of Sitakund and Mirsarai on 8 April, 2018. Md. Fazlul Kader, Deputy Managing Director of PKSF led the team.
Firstly, the team has visited YPSA OBA Sanitation Microfinance activities at Kumira Fisher folk community, Alekdia village, Kumira Tripurapara, Hasnabad, Dhalipara, Eakubnagar, Ponthicila Villages of Sitakund and Wahedpur and Komoldoha villages of Mirsarai Upazilla divided by six groups in total 60 members. During their visit, they observed established modern second generation sanitary latrine, design and size and talked with latrine owner and users, community people, local entrepreneurs and YPSA field staffs.
At second half, the visitors have participated in an interactlve experience sharing meeting at YPSA HRDC Sitakund campus. Achievements, Learnings, weakness, challenges and afford for future improvement of the program were discussed in the meeting.
Md. Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive, YPSA; Md. Monzur Murshed Chowdhury, Director (Economic Development) and focal person of YPSA OBA Sanitation MF Program accompanied them during their visit and shared all hands on experiences .
