Dr. Md. Zakaria, Director General (Secretary) of the NGO Affairs Bureau under the Prime Minister’s Office of the Government of Bangladesh, visited various ongoing development activities of Young Power in Social Action (YPSA), an organization for sustainable development, on June 29, 2026. The founder and Chief Executive of the organization, Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman, welcomed the chief guest and provided a detailed overview of the organization’s activities.
During an exchange of views meeting held at the YPSA head office, the chief guest was requested to take initiatives to increase funding for local organizations to run development programs amidst the current global financial recession, to bring more dynamism into the NGO Bureau’s approval process including making it online, and to arrange a development dialogue and exchange of views between the Honorable Prime Minister and NGOs.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Sharif Ahmed, Private Secretary to the Director General (Senior Assistant Secretary), Mr. Bahadur Raichur Rahman, Administrative Officer, and CMT and SMT members on behalf of YPSA.
