Workshop on ICT survey for the telecentre

group photoYPSA, together with its partner NGOs jointly initiated a survey on the present scenario of Information and Communication Technology to measure the possibilities of establishment of telecentres in Chittagong. In 1996, Bangladesh Telecentre Network (BTN) emerged to lead the telecentre movement in Bangladesh. YPSA is the founder member of this organization. For the strategic diversity, now BTN desires to decentralize its activities and spread up their movement across the country for ensuring a sustainable Information and Communication system for the poor and disadvantage people through the establishment of District wise Resource Centre in partnership with its member organizations. BTN has selected YPSA as BTN Resource Center for the Chittagong district. Undertaken survey is the preliminary attempt for being launched Resource center in Chittagong. The survey was initiated through a workshop at YPSA-HRDC Chittagong on 29 June. Different NGOs from different Upazilla of Chittagong participated in the workshop.
