Official partnership agreement signed between YPSA and EngenderHealth for a long term project on health and family planning issues. Dr. Abu Jamil Faisel , PD of Mayer Hashi – II & Country Representative of EngenderHealth Bangladesh and Md. Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive of YPSA and other officials from both organizations were present during the contract signing ceremony. The event was held at the country office of EngenderHealth Bangladesh on 20 November 2014.
EngenderHealth is a nonprofit organization based in New York City, active in women’s health and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) in dozens of countries around the world. EngenderHealth’s inclusive community-based approach in Bangladesh focuses on expanding access to family planning and preventing and treating obstetric fistula. EngenderHealth also works to increase awareness and access to long-acting and permanent methods of family planning (LA/PMs) such as hormonal implants, the intrauterine device (IUD), and male and female sterilization. Their work has also included preventing postpartum hemorrhage.
