YPSA formed 7 Union Development Forum at Muradpur, Banshbaria, Barabkunda, Barialdhala, Kumira, Sonaichari and Syedpur Union of Sitakund Upazila with the electoral process by the participation of respective union Youth and Community Leaders of YPSA’s Leadership Development Program . This Union Development Forum formed to increase the people’s participation and supporting hand with local Union Parishad for community development initiative.
First Union Development Forum established at Muradpur Union on 17th August through electoral process between youth and community leaders. SM Rezaul Karim, Chairman of Muradpur Union Parishad facilitated the UDF meeting held in Union Parishad Complex. Accordingly, UP chairman of Banshbaria, Barabkunda, Barialdhala, Kumira, Sonaichari and Syedpur Union supported warmly for established Union Development Forum as delivered their introductory speech.
YPSA-LDP trained up 1134 leaders (567 Youth and 567 Community) in 7 unions of Sitakund upazila on 2014 who are now applying their knowledge in their daily life and arranging encouragement program at community level like observing various national days and take various initiatives on local need base. They have successfully completed several activities with the help of LDP personnel. So, Union Development Forum established with such an experience that can easily change the society. They are not now static, they are more active. Every leader can work as change maker.
