A two-day “Youth Journalism Training Programme” was successfully held on June 21–22 at the University of Chittagong (CU). Jointly organized by Unilever Bangladesh Limited, YPSA, Chattogram City Corporation, and CU, the initiative was conducted under the broader framework of the Plastic Waste Management Initiative in Chattogram City.
The closing ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Amin, Acting Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Chittagong, as the Chief Guest.
The programme featured insightful sessions on:
- Plastic Waste Management Initiatives in Chattogram City
- Reporting Techniques and Effective Storytelling
- Investigative Journalism
- A Youth Advocacy Programme on Plastic and Urban Pollution
The event brought together academics, media professionals, industry representatives, and young participants to explore the role of journalism in raising awareness and promoting action for environmental sustainability.
