BLAST-YPSA Consortium organized a sharing meeting on “Community Legal Services for Access to Justice” project on 22 September’15 at the Conference Room of Pitstop in Chittagong. Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Md Mesbah Uddin presided over the meeting while Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue), Chittagong Mr. Md. Khalilur Rahman was present as chief guest.
Md. Mozahidur Rahman District Legal Aid Officer, Chowdhury Hasan Mahmud Hasni, Panel mayor of Chittagong City Corporation, Saiful Islam Majumdar, UNO of Rangunia delivered their speech in the meeting. Md Mahabubur Rahman Director (SDP), YPSA moderated the meeting and Project Coordinator Hasina Fardows presented the project details.
Moreover government official, Advocates, Civil society representatives, Journalists and NGO’s representatives were present in the meeting.
BLAST-YPSA Consortium has been implementing the project aiming to facilitate access to justice for marginalised and vulnerable communities in hard to reach areas through community empowerment and access to quality legal services in selected areas in Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar district.
Community Legal Services for Access to Justice project is supported by UKAID, Community Legal Services (CLS) and Maxwell Stamp.
