YPSA with the support of Plan International Bangladesh has distributed hygiene kits to 410 families affected by cyclone KOMEN and flood at Barbakia Union and Mognama Union of Pekua Upazila under Cox’s Bazar district. Upazila Chairman of Pekua Shafaet Aziz Raju was present as chief guest during the hygiene kits distribution.
Each hygiene kit includes 5 tooth brush, 1 tooth pest, 2 toilet soap, 3 laundry soap, 2 pack sanitary napkin, 1 nail cutter, 1 water container and 2 plastic sandal.
Chairman of Mognama Union Shahidul Mostafa Chowdhury, members of Union Parishad, Program Manager of YPSA Md. Harun, and other stakeholders were present in the distribution program.
YPSA has been implementing a project “Emergency WASH support to the people affected by South- East flood and cyclone Komen” aiming to prevent epidemic and maintain hygiene standards in the target area through restoration of community WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) facilities.
