“NGOs have played a vital role to achieve Millennium Development Goal (MDG). Extensive development of a country is not possible by the government alone. Besides government, NGOs in Bangladesh has been working on development of under privileged poor people, climate change, disaster management, heath, HIV/AIDS, woman empowerment, human rights and socio-economical progression.” Said Mezbah Uddin, Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong in a felicitation program for selecting him as best Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong division on 9, October, 2015.
“NGOs will also play a vital role to achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) besides government”. He added.
