Conference on Tobacco Control and Health Promotion was held at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB), Dhaka on 4th January 2016 jointly organized by WBB Trust and other 12 organizations. Md. Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive of YPSA attends as a panelist at the session “Inclusive Development” in the conference. Plenary session chair was Prof. Dr. AKM Abul Kalam, President of Bangladesh Institute of Planners and Professor of Jahangirnagar University. Regional Director of Health Bridge Ms. Debra Efroymson and Mr. Shamim Jahan, Project Officer of WBB Trust were present as keynote speakers. Other panelists were Advocate Mosharaf Hossain Mozumder, Bangladesh Supreme Court and Ms. Samia Afrin from Naripokka.
Food Minister Kamrul Islam was present at the closing session of the conference. Representatives from 150 organizations around the country participated in the conference.
