Workshop on SRHR for women with disabilities held

A workshop on content selection with identification of problems on Sexual and Reproductive health Rights (SRHR) under the project “Empowering women with disabilities through market driven ICT training and accessible information on sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR)”, which is supported by The Edward M. Kennedy Center for Public Service and the Arts and implemented by YPSA, was held at YPSA head office on 16th March.

In this event women with disabilities shared their experiences on different SRHR issues; unanimously emphasized that they do not want to remain in the dark regarding sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), and thanked YPSA for taking such an initiative.

YPSA chief executive Md. Arifur Rahman was present at the meeting as chief guest said in his speech that YPSA has been working for persons with disabilities for the last 20 years and assured that it will continue to do so. He also thanked EMK center for their support.

VashkarBhattacharjee, National consultant on accessibility and YPSA-IRCD focal person was also present at the meeting;NasimBanu Shyamoli was present as a motivational speaker, and the workshop was conducted by YPSA SRHR expert Farhana Begum.
