Networking meeting with Government officials and different stakeholders held in Sitakund

Speech by UNO of Sitakund

YPSA organized a networking meeting with Government official and different stakeholders of Sitakund Upazila under the project titled “Protect Environment through Women Entrepreneurship Development Program in Sitakund” supported by HSBC. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Sitakund Milton Roy was present as chief guest. The meeting was held on 3rd September 2019 at Freedom Fighter AKM Mafizur Rahman Auditorium of YPSA HRDC in Sitakunda Upazila under Chattogram District.

The meeting was chaired by Nasim Banu, Deputy Director of YPSA. Dr. Shajalal and Md. Yonus, Upazila Livestock Officer (In Charge);  Raton Kanti Datto, Assistant Agricultural Extension Officer;  Md. Ismail Khan, Supervisor of Youth Development Office; Janntul ferdous, Assistant and Computer Operator, Women Affairs Office of Sitakund Upazilla were present in the meeting. 6 Union Women Members 18 women entrepreneurs and other project staffs of YPSA also participated at the meeting.

A power point presentation was presented by Newaz Mahmud, Program Manager of YPSA about the ongoing project activities and how to establish a well-organized network among YPSA, community people, agriculture department, livestock department, local government, business community, local leaders and other NGOs so that sharing of experiences & explored information and increasing of communication with each other.

Chief Guest Milton Roy and other guests thanked to YPSA for implementing this project with 400 poor women in Sitakund and also talked about Government facilities and services of Upazilla level in the meeting. They gave assurance to provide all kinds of facilities to poor women as per government rules.
