Bangladesh NGO Foundation (BNF) is a self-governing institutions under the Bank and Financial Institutions Division of Ministry of Finance, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. As part of government incentives for socio-economic development of the people affected by the Corona pandemic, a partnership agreement was signed between Bangladesh NGO Foundation (BNF) and YPSA to implement micro-credit activities on the basis of low service charges. The signing ceremony was held at the BNF office, Mohakhali, Dhaka on 27, June, 2021.
Former Additional Secretary Dr. Zillur Rahman NDC, Managing Director of Bangladesh NGO Foundation-BNF was present as the Chief Guest at the signing ceremony.
YPSA Chief Executive Md. Arifur Rahman signed the agreement on behalf of YPSA. BNF DGM Md. Shahriar Parvez, AGM Mr. Mostafa Kamal Bhuiyan, YPSA Director (Economic Development) Manzur Murshed Chowdhury were also present in the signing ceremony.
Besides government, NGOs have played an important role in achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) as well as NGOs have been making significant contributions towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to reduce the poverty rate of the country and build Bangladesh as a developed country, non-governmental voluntary organizations are implementing timely projects to implement the ‘Vision 2041’ announced by the government. Bangladesh will soon become a middle-income country. Speakers made this remark in the program.
