YPSA organized Job Fair at Cox's Bazar

YPSA organized a  day-long Job Fair on  28th September at a hotel in Cox’s Bazar. Honorable Member of Parliament, Cox’s Bazar-03, Mr. Saimum Sarwar Kamal inaugurated the Job Fair as the Chief Guest of the event which was organized with the technical assistance of Relief International and other  consortium partners CCDB and  mPower in light of building a positive linkage between the trained TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) graduates of USAID’s YES Activity Program and the potential recruiters across 4 Upazilas of Cox’s Bazar.

Milton Roy, Upazilla Nirbahi Officer, CoxBazar Sadar, Mahbubur Rahman, Youth Development Officer, Abul kashem sikder, President Hotel Motel Association, Cox’s Bazar attended as Special Guests.

YPSA Focal Person Jishu Barua delivered welcome speech . YES project youth representative Rifat Akter delivered speech . The program was presided over by Khaleda Akter, Regional Head, YPSA and moderated by Mohammed Shahidul Islam , Head, Rohinga Response Program and Asst Director , YPSA.

Participants

Total 10 recruiting organizations (Hotel, Café & Restaurants, event organizer, Fashion boutiques, etc.) have participated in the fair where they promoted their services and trades for the attendees.

The youths were given the opportunity to gain knowledge on CV writing and professional development and received a hand-on CV reviewing support from sector expertise during the event. Through this Job Fair, an estimated number of 75 TVET graduates from YES Activity Program have been hired by the job providers on ground directly at the event venue.
