A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the freedom fighter A.K.M. Mofizur Rahman Auditorium, HRDC, Sitakunda on 13th June, 2022 under YPSA RMTP Expansion and Marketing of High Value Fruit and Crop Cultivation Technology” Project. The purpose of the MoU were to increase the use of organic pesticides in high value fruit and crop cultivation, mechanization of farms and use of organic fertilizers and increase the supply of seedlings of fruit crops. The MoU was signed with seedling suppliers / nurseries, agricultural technology machine suppliers and 3 types of suppliers of bio-pesticides and bio-fertilizers.
Director (Economic Development) of YPSA Md. Manzur Murshed Chowdhury, Senior Regional Manager Ispahani Agro Ltd. Mr. Moinul Alam Chowdhury, BRAC Nursery Manager Mr. Mahmudul Hasan, Regional Manager of ACI Fertilizer and Machineries Ltd Mr. Rupam Chakma, Shri Nibas Biswas, Regional Manager of National Agro Ltd and Md. Yusuf, Owner of Krishak Machineries were present at the signing ceremony.
Sumon Debnath, Project Manager, YPSA presented the activities of YPSA’s RMTP Expansion and Marketing of High Value Fruit and Crop Cultivation Technology” Project and the purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding. Newaz Mahmud, Program Manager of YPSA has moderate the program.
All those present on the signing event has expressed hope that the activities of the project would be more dynamic with the signing of MoUs with 5 organizations.
