RISE (Reimagining Industry to Support Equality) Project started in Gazipur and Dhaka districts

In 2024, RISE (Reimagining Industry to Support Equality) Project started its operations in seven new RMG factories through a kick-off meeting along with 12,667 workers in Gazipur and Dhaka districts. One of the most important programs of the RISE project in these seven factories will work to improve the lives of garment workers through the implementation of RISE Digital.

The project will provide training to garment workers, especially women workers, on health, financial management and education, coping with stress and building healthy workplace relationships. Besides, this project will provide training to RMG factory officials and management on problem solving and building good working relationships.

The four stakeholders of the project are YPSA, Factory Management, Brand and Donor respectively. Four organizations working as donors are BSR’s HERproject, Gap Inc. P.A.C.E, CARE International, and Better Work.

The factories that started working are:

  • Masco Industries Ltd (Masco Group) -Gazipur
  • Millennium Textiles (Southern) Ltd (Renaissance Group)- Gazipur
  • Babylon Garments Ltd (Babylon Group)- Darussalam, Dhaka
  • Utah Fashions Ltd (Utah Group) – Gazipur
  • Aman Knittings Ltd- Savar, Dhaka
  • Renaissance Apparels Ltd (Renaissance Group)- Gazipur
  • Interstoff Clothing Ltd- Gazipur

Besides, Impress Newtex Composite Textiles Ltd.  under RISE Project – Rise Transform Financial Health is being implemented in Tangail.
