Ms. Kabita Bose, Country Director of Plan International Bangladesh, visited the BMZ German-funded project titled “Youth from Host Communities & Rohingya Camps in Cox’s Bazar as Agents of Change” on February 27, 2024. The project is supported by Plan International Bangladesh and implemented by YPSA (Young Power in Social Action).
She was accompanied by Mr. Ashis Kumar Bokshi, Head of the Cox’s Bazar & CHT Programme of Plan International Bangladesh, and Mr. Hossain Rahman Raiyan, Project Manager of Plan International Bangladesh. YPSA representatives present included Mr. Jishu Barua, Program Manager; Mr. Mohammed Harun, Program Manager and Focal Point-Cox’s Bazar; Mr. Rashedul Karim, Project Coordinator; Mr. Nobel Barua, M&E Officer; and Mr. Kurshed Alam, Technical Officer-Education.
During her visit, Ms. Bose toured various project activities. At Camp 24, she visited the Learning Center and spoke with the Camp-in-Charge (CiC), teachers, and learners. She expressed her satisfaction with the project’s successful implementation.
Following the field visit, officials from Plan International met with YPSA officials. Mr. Jishu Barua, Program Manager of YPSA, delivered a welcome speech and expressed special thanks to the Country Director for visiting the project activities.
Mr. Rashedul Karim, Project Coordinator of YPSA, then presented a multimedia presentation on the project overview. In the presentation, he discussed project achievements, results, challenges, and way forward.
In her closing remarks, the Country Director of Plan International Bangladesh thanked and appreciated YPSA for its excellent performance and timely completion of assigned tasks. The meeting concluded with YPSA management handing over the “YPSA Dairy-2024” to the Country Director and Head of Cox’s Bazar for Plan International Bangladesh.
