Country Director of Engender Health Bangladesh Dr. Abu Jamil Faisel met with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Chittagong Md Abul Hossain and BGMEA First Vice President Nasiruddin Ahmed on December 7, 2014. YPSA jointly with Engender Health Bangladesh will implement a project to bring readymade garments workers under family planning service.
Initially 15 garment factories and 10 private clinics will be covered under this project. Garments workers will be given orientation to get the primary health and maternal health services from the selected clinic and will be made them aware of family planning issue.
Steps will be taken to build institutional capacity of 10 clinics to provide the primary health and maternal health services for the garment workers.
Country Director of Engender Health Bangladesh requested to District Administration and BGMEA to cooperate YPSA for successful implementation of this project.
