Director of NGO Bureau visits YPSA Youth Training Center at Ramu

Dr. Md. Helal Uddin, Director, NGO Bureau, Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh made a visit to YPSA Youth Training Center at Ramu in Cox’s bazaar on 9th October 2015. A.K.M. Monirul Haque from YPSA has described YPSA’s different projects in Cox’s Bazar district. YPSA has 09 ongoing projects in this district, and 4 of them are being implemented at Ramu upazilla.

Director, NGO bureau appreciated YPSA’s effort in this district. He praised YPSA for the youth training center. He said, in Bangladesh, there are 3 categories of NGOs in which he ranked YPSA as first category. The INGOs choose YPSA for their well reputation and make partnership for implementing different project in different areas in Chittagong Division.  NGO sector did a lot for the development of this country in different areas. Half of a million people are employed in this sector which is one third of the employment comparing govt. sector.

He drew example of women right which he gave the full credit to the NGO sector as well. He described Government effort and different compliance which he thinks will enrich NGO sector further. Besides, he expressed his concern about decreasing fund in this sector. Then he let the floor open for questions. He answered all the questions came from the YPSA staffs. He thanked everyone for their time and went to visit the whole facilities. He suggested building a guest house alongside with the training center upon availability of fund.
