Community Dialogue on the Right to Information Act 2009 was held in the Sitakund District Council Auditorium on 6 November, 2017 arranged by YPSA led community radio Sagor Giri FM 99.2 in association with BNNRC and FNF. The main purpose of this dialogue is livelihood development of the rural population through access to information. Chief Information Commissioner Professor Dr. Golam Rahman was present as the chief guest in the community dialogue.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nazmul Islam Bhuiyan, BNNRC Chief Executive Officer AHM Bazlur Rahman, representative of FNF Omar Mustafiz, Municipal mayor Alhaj Badiul Alam and Union Parishad chairman Zahid Hossain Nizami were present as special guest.
Principal of Bijoy Sharani University College Mr. Jahangir Alam moderated the the dialogue. Upazila Women’s Vice Chairman Nazmul Nahar Nelly, Press Club President M. Shakandor Hossain, Women’s leader Suraiya Banker, Headmaster of Mahabubad High School Mohammad Habib Ullah were present as panelists of the dialogue. Sagar Giri Station Manager, Shah Sultan Shamim and Producer Sanjay Chowdhury spoke on the occasion.
The Chief Guest said that people have right to know about the government services and it is obligatory for the government employees to serve the people and provide them information affirmatively.
