To work in collaboration for urban disaster risk reduction activities, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed among the Chattogram City Corporation, Save the Children and YPSA. The signing ceremony took place at Chattogram City Corporation office on 18th February, 2019. City Mayor A. Z. M. Nasir Uddin was present there as Chief Guest while Mr. Md. Shamsuddoha, Chief Executive Officer of CCC; presided over the meeting.

City mayor Mr. A. Z. M. Nasir Uddin said, “Chattogram City Corporation already has taken many initiatives for disaster risk reduction. There are 100 trained volunteers in each ward of Chattogram City Corporation. We can dream for a green, clean and safe city by working together.”
Mr. Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive of YPSA expressed his gratitude to City Mayor for his outstanding cooperation throughout the time. He further added that “we have to work together for preparedness of disaster in every ward of Chattogram City Corporation.”
Mr. A. K. M. Rejaul Karim, Chief Town Planner (CCC); Mr. Mostak Hossain, Director, Humanitarian -Save the Children; Mr. Syed Matiul Ahsan, Deputy Director- Save the Children; Ms. Nasim Banu, Deputy Director- YPSA were also present at the program.
