The U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Earl R. Miller visited a community outreach screening activity on Maternal, Newborn and Children Health (MNCH) issue with the women group of YPSA PROYASH II project (Supported by Save the Children) at Amin Colony, 7 no ward of Chattogram on 9th March 2020. The outreach activity was conducted with the support of USAID’s Ujjiban SBCC Project. As a part of collaboration with Save the Children to disseminate MNCH –FP-N issue under Ujjiban SBCC project, YPSA has conducted the session.
The honorable chief guest of the visit was Ambassador Earl R. Miller. Some other notable guests of this visit were Mr. Belal Uddin, Advisor- Community Mobilization, Save the Children International; Mr. Joseph Monehin from USAID, Mr. Patrick Lee Coleman from Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs and Mr. Muhammed Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive of YPSA.
The session and group discussion with the women group was facilitated by Sanzida Akhter (Project Coordinator, Proyash Phase II, YPSA) and Syeda Jamila Siddika (Deputy Manager -Campaign & Community Mobilization, Save the Children International). Md. Habibur Rahman (Senior Project Officer-Campaign & Community Mobilization, Save the Children International) had coordinated the visit. The Urban Community Volunteers of 7 no ward welcomed the Ambassador with flowers.
