YPSA organized the Adolescent Fair, Sports and Cultural Competition, and Prize Distribution on Wednesday, at the YPSA HRDC premises in Sitakunda, Chattogram. The event was held with the members of the Kishore Kishori Club under the YPSA adolescent program and was supported by Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF).
The day-long program began with the national anthem sung by the members of the Kishore Kishori Club. Sitakunda Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) KM Rafiqul Islam inaugurated the fair. Upazila Social Service Officer Lutfun Nessa Begum was present as the special guest. Newaz Mahmud, Program Manager and focal point of the adolescent program, and Sadman Sakib Nirob, Fisheries Officer of YPSA, moderated the fair.
Speakers at the fair included YPSA Sitakunda Upazila Manager Shah Sultan Shamim, YPSA Program Officer Anisul Haque, Area Manager Tofail Hossain, YPSA Kishori Kishori Club Secretary Md. Zahed Hasan, and Ilma Akhter.
The sporting and cultural competitions kicked off with a marathon race for adolescents. Other competitions included cockfighting, skipping rope, quizzes, speech presentations, and essay writing.
The day concluded with a special cultural program featuring adolescent participants. S.M Rezaul Karim Bahar, Chairman of Muradpur Union Parishad, closed the fair and distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions.
