YPSA organized a day-long staff orientation workshop for the newly recruited project staffs at YPSA head office under the project “The Ain Shohayota Activity” supported by Democracy International, on the 10th November. Overall objective of this orientation event aims to strengthen the understanding level of project staffs regarding the goals and objectives of the overall project, rapport building with the govt. stakeholders and untimely achieve the project goals within the timeframe.
This event was graced with the presence of Dr. Shamsun Nahar Chowdhury, Management Advisor of YPSA. Orientation event started with the welcoming remark of management advisor. In her welcoming remark she emphasizes on the quality implementation of the program activities with a view to serving the project purpose.
Project focal person Mr. Abdus Sabur conducted the session titled overview of the project focusing Legal Aid Services Act-2000, Goal & objectives of the project, Activities at a glance. District Managers of the project conducted sessions on Formation of the LACs, Orientation guideline of LACs, most possible ways of LACs activation and promoting gender equality and social inclusion in project implementation, how effectively organize courtyard session on rights awareness, Public hearing, E- dialogue session, Introduction to data collection tools for MEL, How to fill up the prescribed format for seeking legal assistance, Generating case study or success story and reporting.
YPSA Assistant Director & Head of HRM & D conducted session on HR policies, core values and vision & mission of organization. Project finance person conducted session on VAT exemption system, procurement system.
YPSA safeguard focal person conducted a sessions on the Safeguarding policy focusing on do & don’t. Finally, this event was ended up with the closing remark and vote of thanks conducted by the project manager. In the closing remark, he focuses on the team effort for the quality implementation and also committed for ensuring diversity and gender friendly working environment.
At the end of the orientation, a courtesy meeting was held of the project staff with the Md. Arifur Rahman, Chief Executive, YPSA. The Chief Executive welcomed everyone to the YPSA Legal Aid Activity and requested them to complete the project works properly.
