Orientation workshop on the “Guideline for Smoke Free Policy” was held in Feni on 26th January organized by YPSA with the support from CFTFK and BI. Councilors of Feni Municipality and representatives from Journalist, market authority, government, teacher, religious leader, NGO and Civil society have participated in the workshop. Dr. Golam Kibria, Civil Surgeon, Feni district joined the workshop as a chief guest, and Mr. Md. Zahirul Islam, UNO (main), Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman, President, Feni Press club, and Panel Mayor Mr. Md. Yusuf also joined as special guests.
In the workshop, the importance, role and development process of institutional policy and the guidelines for preparing a policy have been discussed and Participants have provided important comments and suggestions on which initiatives they will take for protecting people from harms of secondhand smoking. Feni Human Development Foundation (FHDF) has facilitated support to organize the workshop.
