Chattogram District Administration initiated a tree plantation campaign in conservation of hill with the support of several social development organizations. Honorable Minister of Information and Broadcasting of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Hasan Mahmood MP inaugurated the campaign. YPSA participated in the campaign under Proyash-II project with 15 urban community volunteers. More than 1700 tree were planted in which YPSA also supported.
The campaign was held on 22 July 2022 at 9 No Ward of Chattogram City Corporation. In addition, City Mayor Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury and Deputy Commissioner Md Mominur Rahman attended the campaign.
Almost 1700 fruit, forest and medicinal plants were planted in hills around Firoz Shah Colony (1 No Jhil). This vulnerable hills recently recovered by the initiative of Chattogram District Administration.
