Chattogram District Administration has conferred special honors to 21 urban community volunteers (UCV) under YPSA PROYASH-II project for their active participation in various humanitarian activities undertaken by the Chattogram district administration during the Covid-19 pandemic situation in Chattogram.
On October 19, Tuesday, at 4 pm Chattogram District Administrator Mohammad Mominur Rahman handed over certificates and crests to 21 Urban Community Volunteers on a `Thanks Giving Ceremony’ organized by Chattogram District Administration for recognizing the active effort participation of the various voluntary organization in various humanitarian activities undertaken by the Chattogram district administration during the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
In August 2021 the Chattogram District Administration provided food aid among 360 families under the Kotwali area who called for food assistance by calling 333. Urban community volunteers under YPSA Proyash-II project provided overall assistance in communicating with the concerned beneficiaries and facilitated the distribution process effectively. Apart from this, Urban community volunteers under YPSA Prayash-II project also worked actively with Chittagong District Administration in distributing the Honorable Prime Minister’s relief for marginalized and lower-income people. They are being honored by Chattogram District Administration for their active participation in these humanitarian activities.
Mentionable that, earlier, in August 2021, 43 UCVs of YPSA Prayash-II project received an honorarium of BDT one thousand each for their valiant effort to evacuate and aware people living at risk of the landslide at the foot of the hilly area of 7 and 8 no ward in heavy rains.
